Stumps that just need to be Level with the Grade and covered in Mulch are the Most Affordable Option as we don’t have to go below the Soil Line.

2-3 Inch Depth
Still there are many Stumps in and around Gravel Driveways where we Cut a Depth of 2-3 Inches preventing Damage to Vehicles and Snow Plows

6-10 Inch Depth
To Promote Healthy Grass, We recommend Grinding Stumps a Minimum of 6-10 Inches Deep depending on the Slope. Failure to maintain this Depth while Grinding may Lead to Yellow Grass and Mushrooms

10-18 Inch Deep
This Depth makes sense If You’re Planting Trees or Bushes and Running Power Lines or Dog Fences. We Grind Existing Root Systems with Minimal Damage to Help Finish these Projects

20 Inches-Full Excavations
Grinding Stumps or Roots before Excavation may prove to Accelerate the Project while Reducing Liability and Cost.

Usually the Stump is too big for the Operators’ Machine or the Stump and Roots Endanger Structures or Utilities, Risking Considerable Damage to Property when Excavating

Some Stumps need to be Ground and Completely Uprooted to make way for a Fence, Structure, Driveway, Walkway or Utility
